Turner Voices In the Works
TURNER VOICES IN THE WORKS is a chance for Actor's Express to champion
the next great American play from its very beginning. Emerging playwrights
are given the opportunity to rehearse and fine tune a script they are currently
writing with Atlanta's best actors and directors in a workshop hosted by AE.
The workshop culminates in a public reading at which YOU will have the
opportunity to share your reaction with the playwright and creative team.
Your comments will help the playwright shape, clarify, and improve
what could be the next great American play!

The Birdwatchers

A family struggles to accept the death of an estranged, though beloved son,
in this parable about the beauty and horror of life. The unexpected arrival
of a familiar young stranger from Atlanta, a forgotten act of mercy recalled,
and a terrifying accumulation of birds in the front yard lead to a devastating
explosion of irrevocable lies, and the ultimate destruction of the boy's memory.
