We're one day away from our first audience for Zanna Don't. This has been a really action-packed tech process. We had two twelve-hour tech rehearsals over the weekend. But the technical elements are all coming together surprisingly smoothly. We'll be working out the kinks all the way to opening, and with every day they are fewer.
I am really, really anxious to get an audience in front of the show. That is always the final and most crucial step in the process. For this show it's especially important - it is such an explosion of joy and pure energy that getting a handle on its relationship with an audience is essential. Fingers crossed...will update you after first preview.

Freddie - My husband, Bill, & I spoke with you last evening at the 2nd preview performance of "Zanna, Don't," both before the show & then during the intermission. Even Bill, who arrived with "attitude" (b/c he doesn't like going too often to theatre & films, about which I'm wild, & b/c we'd just gone Wed. eve. to see "Blues for an Alabama Sky" [excellent]), left raving about the your newest production. It is wonderfully hilarious. I only wish Zanna/Ricardo Apontes raspy voice were easier to hear...his mike should be closer to his mouth &/or strengthened, but his choreography is perfect. The voices of Nick Morrett (Steve), Chase Todd (Tank) & Erin Lorette (Roberta) stood out, but all the performers were spot on and seemed to enjoy a genuine & fun-filled camaraderie. Its hard to believe Nick Morrett is still in school; he has great presence & I think hell be going places. Regardless, this powder puff of love is not to be missed, & we will be telling everyone we know, "Don't miss 'Zanna, Don't'!!"
