Isake Akanke is humbled to make her debut on the Actor’s Express stage. She has been residing in Atlanta, Georgia for almost four years. Prior to her arrival, she earned her BFA in Theatre from Southern Methodist University and has since been performing with well-known theatres around the city. She has had the privilege of working with phenomenal directors such as Patricia McGregor, award-winning playwright Will Power, and Atlanta’s own Tinashe Kajese-Bolden. Her most notable roles include Mary Solomon in Pearl Cleage’s, Leann in The Best Game, Katharina in The Shakespeare Project, Cookie in Hurt Village, Lorenzo in Blues for Mister Charlie, Maretha in The Piano Lesson and most recently as Disgruntled in Eclipsed. She thanks her family for their encouragement, support, and unconditional love.
